BUSINESS MODEL
A "Network of Safety" for mothers and newborns in remote settings: provide life-saving skills along a referral path that ties together moms, families, midwives and doctors.

US$925,000 for FY11 (Dec-11).
Delivered to date
Distributed over 7,000 birth kits, educated 164 Skilled Birth Attendants and trained over 1,800 health workers and women's groups as Pregnancy and Village Outreach Program providers.
Impact
Measured by % of pregnant women getting prenatal care (visits and supplements), % of deliveries attended by SBAs, % of home deliveries utilizing a clean and safe birth kit and % of women receiving post-natal visits.
BIG PLANS
To reach 10% of the 50,000 female community health volunteers in Nepal over the next 5 years.
